Adoption

From time to time homeless and abandoned Shar-Pei come to our attention. We do our best to find homes for these dogs. If you are interested in adopting one of these dogs, please call Louise for an
interview, and to get your questions answered. There is a charge of $175 for these dogs to cover our medical expenses. We are not a placement service. We only take homeless and abandoned dogs.
Every rescue dog is spayed or neutered, up to date on shots, entropion surgery done if needed, checked by a veterinarian for health, and evaluated for temperament. We also sell approved leashes and collars.

The dogs we have for adoption can be found on our petfinder’s page at this link:
https://www.petfinder.com/pet-search?shelterid=CO151
Or under the Dogs For Adoption button on this website.

If you have a Shar-Pei that you bought and can no longer keep, your first call should be to the breeder that you purchased the dog from. Reputable breeders will take back any dog that they have bred and sold.

All rescue inquiries should go yo our Rescue Chairman – Louise Watson at 303-772-7325.

FOSTER HOMES
Our abandoned dogs need a temporary place to stay until they can find a forever home. We use volunteer foster homes to house these dogs. Some Shar-Pei need to be placed in a foster home without cats, so we are looking for a foster home with no cats. Usually the stays at foster homes are short, from a couple of weeks to 2 months.

Call Louise at 303-772-7325 to discuss becoming a foster home. The Shar-Pei we usually get have been very friendly and housetrained! Click here for the foster application form.
